Those that are environmentally conscious or just concerned about the prices of fuel out there will need to do their research into fuel efficiency and the type of fuel that each type of BMW vehicle uses. For the most part you will find that many of the BMW vehicles run on either Petrol or Diesel fuel. Considering the fact that the newer E-85 Ethanol seems to be the fuel of choice, you might be asking if any of these models are going to be able to use E-85 Ethanol fuel. This is something that has not been discussed as far as this writer is aware of. You will need to do your own research to know whether or not this is even something that is in discussion or development.
The discussion as to whether Petrol or Diesel is more efficient is likely to be one that is likely to be a “barn-burner” (as the Americans would say). You might also decide that this is something that is not even worth thinking about; and say that whichever type of fuel your vehicle uses is what it uses. There are always going to be people that choose one type of fuel over the other for reasons that are as varied as the drivers themselves happen to be. There is one thing that you might not ever be able to argue with; a vehicle needs fuel and many times it really does not matter which type of fuel that you need to use.
